Then and Now, Dearborn-Van Buren

1919–Dearborn Street @ Van Buren Street, view north
2022–the same location

South Dearborn Street in 1919.  Electric streetcars, a few automobiles, tall buildings.   On the far right is the northern extension of the Fisher Building, one of the Loop’s most-prestigious office complexes.

South Dearborn Street in 2022.  Bus-only lane, bike lanes, a subway entrance portal, more autos, some never buildings.  The Fisher Building is still there, now with apartment units.
