Then and Now, 103rd-Seeley

1903–103rd Street @ Seeley Avenue, view east
2021–the same location

The turreted building on the left in the older photo is the 1886 Robert C. Givins House. Givins was a land developer, and built his own home in the style of an Irish castle as a form of promotion. Seventeen years later, traffic was still light on 103rd Street.

Today the Givins House is the Beverly Unitarian Church. And 103rd Street is no longer an empty country lane.
