    Never, ever heard of him!
Now I realize he was an Irishman & Chicago has been run by the Irish for at least a century, but according to Wikipedia he was a Marxist, so how did that get ignored when they decided to give him a statue in Chicago?

Connolly was one of the leaders of the 1916 Easter Week Rising, executed by the Brits. And as the good sisters always told me, martyrdom washes away previous sins.
