Then and Now, Ridge-Broadway

In 1928 Edgewater was already a thriving community.  Broadway was a major commercial artery.  Yet in that older photo, the streets are surprisingly empty.  Perhaps it was a Sunday morning.

Today Edgewater continues to thrive.  Here at Broadway-Ridge-Bryn Mawr, some of the old buildings have been replaced, some have been renovated.  And with the northern end of Lake Shore Drive only a few blocks away, auto traffic is much heavier.
